Disklavier Mark IV / PRO systems use the DMC-100 media center and PRC-100 system architecture, adding USB, CD, floppy, internal hard disk storage, online services, and DKC-900 upgrade eligibility.
Things to Know
Requires updated firmware for Disklavier Radio and other online services.
The hard disk is a common point of failure, and can be replaced. It’s an 80 GB HDD, and can be replaced with another HDD or an SSD. The Mark IV runs on an underlying Linux operating system.
This system is eligible to be upgraded to the DKC-900.
Can be controlled with the Yamaha Disklavier Controller app (Apple only), or from a computer using the Virtual PRC.
All USB sticks must be formatted FAT16 or FAT32. See my guide on properly formatting your USB stick for use with Disklaviers.
