The DKC100XG is a playback-only controller for DGH1BXG and DGP1XG Mark II XG Disklaviers. It can play E-SEQ songs and Standard MIDI Files from low- or high-density floppy disks, but it cannot record performances.

Things to Know
This system is playback only.
It adds 2HD floppy support, SMF0/SMF1 playback, and PianoSoft Plus support.
Yamaha’s Mark II XG documentation includes SMF Type 1 playback for this generation, although a later technician compatibility chart omits it. If SMF1 is a purchase-critical requirement, confirm it on the individual unit. If that unit rejects a Type 1 file, my free MIDI Type 1-to-Type 0 converter can create a Type 0 copy to test.
Note that if a Nalbantov USB emulator is installed, a properly formatted USB stick must be left inserted in order to use Bluetooth MIDI, PianoStream, or other external MIDI devices.
On this model, the documented DKC-850 path is a MIDI-cable add-on rather than a controller replacement, so it keeps the original controller and does not enable the DKC-850 online services. Nalbantov replacements are model-specific. My Nalbantov floppy-upgrade guide identifies the standard, slim, and dedicated versions; do not assume that a generic Gotek—or any Nalbantov—will fit.
