The Williams Allegro IV is worth identifying correctly in a buying guide because its weighted action and computer connections distinguish it from some other low-cost 88-key offerings. Those features make it a relevant comparison. They do not remove my concerns about construction and practical parts support from the Williams instruments I have worked on.
What the current IV model offers
Williams’s published specifications list graded weighted hammer action, twelve sounds, Bluetooth audio and MIDI, dual headphone outputs and line outputs. The USB interface specifically includes stereo audio out to a computer or tablet as well as MIDI. That wording should not be expanded into an unverified claim about every possible audio direction.
The base piano includes a sustain pedal, music stand and power supply. The In-Home package adds furniture, a bench and three pedals. Check which package the price actually covers; a photograph of a stand does not establish that it is included.
What I would compare in person
I would try quiet playing, repeated notes and the feel of the pedals on the actual instrument. A teacher can help decide whether the response fits the student’s lessons. I would also test the intended computer connection before the return period ends, rather than assuming that a connection label guarantees an effortless setup with every app.
My Williams service perspective
I have found the construction and serviceability of the Williams instruments I have repaired disappointing, particularly when a viable parts route is missing. That is brand-level experience, not an exact-model Allegro IV teardown or evidence that the IV has the same internals as an older Allegro.
Before recommending this model confidently, I would ask for the current key-contact and mechanical-part supply arrangements, as well as a realistic board-replacement route. A support contact is helpful; an actual part number and obtainable part are more helpful. A quoted after-warranty repair process should also explain transportation.
My buying advice
Use the digital piano comparison guide to compare complete weighted-piano setups, not just their headline connection counts. I generally prefer service arrangements I know can support the instrument. For a Williams you already own, contact me with the exact IV model label and symptoms before assuming either repair or replacement is the right answer.
Williams provides support and manuals. That is not the same as confirming that an independent technician can obtain the particular part your piano needs. Ask about parts for the exact model and revision before treating future repair as a given.

From the service side
My technician’s perspective
Firsthand brand-level repairs; no exact-model teardown claimed
I am not an authorized Williams service provider. My firsthand Williams repair experience has generally involved disappointing construction, awkward access or a lack of viable parts support. It does not establish a recurring Allegro IV fault or prove that the current instrument is internally the same as an earlier model.
