The Donner DEP-20 is a different proposition from the minimalist furniture models: it is a portable-style keyboard with a broader sound and accompaniment selection. That can be useful, but I would still start with the playing experience and the support behind the instrument rather than the apparent number of features per dollar.
Compare the same bundle
This entry uses the current furniture-stand bundle in Donner’s published specifications: 88 weighted hammer-action keys, 238 tones, 128-note polyphony, 200 rhythms, USB MIDI and a three-pedal unit. The keyboard body and the assembled furniture setup have different dimensions and weights. A keyboard-only listing, especially one marked sold out, should not be treated as the same offer.
Separate music features from connection claims
A built-in recorder or MP3 playback does not by itself mean the piano is a USB audio interface for a computer. I have only marked the connections established by the product documentation. Plan how you will actually record or use an app, including the required cables, instead of assuming that any USB socket provides every type of connection.
For lessons, I would ask the student to try soft phrases and repeated notes before exploring accompaniment. For casual arranging, I would also check how easily the functions can be reached. Those are different buying priorities, and a useful extra for one player may be clutter for another.
Why I would check parts before committing
My experience working on Donner instruments has often involved difficult access and a lack of useful replacement-parts support. On a portable design, I would want to know whether the contact strip, key parts and main board are orderable, not simply whether the instrument can be returned under an initial warranty. This is a brand-level concern, not a claim that I have identified a particular DEP-20 design defect.
The listing also contains inconsistent power-adapter descriptions. That is a reason to use the actual instrument label and confirmed documentation, not to select a replacement supply from a shopping-page summary. No replacement adapter rating is recommended here.
My practical recommendation
Use the digital piano comparison guide to compare both piano-focused and accompaniment-focused alternatives with the full cost of their stands and pedals. For a DEP-20 you already own, contact me with the precise symptom before assuming replacement is the only option.
Donner has a customer-service contact. That is not the same as confirming that an independent technician can obtain the particular part your piano needs. Ask about parts for the exact model and revision before treating future repair as a given.

From the service side
My technician’s perspective
Firsthand brand-level repairs; no exact-model teardown claimed
I have repaired Donner instruments and generally find them poorly supported for independent repair. Construction and dismantling can also make an apparently small fault disproportionately expensive to address. I am not claiming a model-specific DEP-20 teardown or that a suitable discrete-component repair is impossible.
