Sue Keller Boogies Blues
Often compared (with a wink) to a mash-up of Fats Waller and Scott Joplin, Keller’s playing blends period authenticity with a modern performer’s punch: strong left-hand time, clear melodic phrasing, and an instinct for making “classic” repertoire feel spontaneous.
A cornerstone of her catalog is “Kellerized” (recorded at HVR Studios in Brooklyn), a set of ragtime-era favorites and originals presented as high-quality solo-piano performances.
