Classical 5

Classical 5 looks like the “deep catalog” folder: large, systematic groupings (complete/near-complete Beethoven sonatas, big Chopin sets, Brahms variations, Alkan works, etc.).

Most importantly, at least some files here still carry embedded MIDI MARKER text that appears to be original source metadata. For example, one Beethoven sonata file includes markers listing movements plus an email address, a timestamp (“1997 Oct.”), and even a note like “Mail in English only.”

That kind of embedded credit strongly supports the idea that much of Classical 5 was harvested from an older, maintained classical piano MIDI project (again consistent with piano-midi.de’s long-running archive style), then bundled into the Kuhmann Directory for Disklavier users.
