Alexander Peppe is an adventure photographer from Portland, ME. He takes pictures of wild landscapes, both natural and urban. He is also a long-distance endurance hiker who frequents the mountains of New Hampshire and Maine, and captures those environments in their most exciting moments. He currently has Wilderness Advanced First Aid certification from Wilderness Medical Associates, and is studying to be a Maine Guide. He is also a member of the International Guild of Knot-Tyers.

Alexander graduated in Spring of 2011 with a degree in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics from the University of Southern Maine, which has instilled him with a love of mathematical beauty and precision. He has tutored, graded, and taught for the Computer Science department, and he worked for a year as the lead developer of the State of Maine's GeoPortal Project.

Perhaps most importantly, he is an ardent vegan, and is greatly distressed at the thought of eating his subjects—especially when his subjects are pigeons on trash heaps.
